[팩트인뉴스= Dongsu Kim] Over the last few weeks, many Americans have been fearing the effects of the shutdown and as tensions only continue to rise between the Democrats and the Republicans over budget concerns and the wall, Cardi B speaks up on Instagram and catches the attention of Fox Nation’s Tomi Lahren.
The feud, which is on Twitter, consists of a back and forth between the host and the Grammy-winning rapper about the extent of the ramifications of the shutdown to everyone. In a report by the ABC News, Tomi Lahren had fired back to Cardi B’s Instagram rant through Twitter, where she apparently dragged her for her intelligence.
Her post is in clear reference to Cardi’s Instagram rant on the shutdown where she had called out the unfair way in which the government expects to keep staff working despite the fact that they will not be getting paid.
Expletive-laden or not, Cardi B’s rant resonated with many, most of all with the 800,000 furloughed employees being affected by the shutdown.
Cardi B saw Lahren’s tweet alluding to her rant and issued a clapback that had both fans of hers and Americans genuinely afraid of the implications of the shutdown agree with her.
The rapper simply tweeted Sunday: “Leave me alone I will dog walk you.”
When those on the Twitter-verse thought it was over, Lahren also dished out a response, saying: "I’m sure you would. Still doesn’t make your political rambling any less moronic. #BuildthatWall."
This was when Cardi B also retweeted Lahren’s retort, eloquently accusing Lahren of intentionally becoming “blinded with racism” that are inadvertently contributing to Trump “destroying the country you claim to love so much.”
Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez eventually stepped in, defending Cardi B by saying: “Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted?” Which is an obvious reference to the fact that both AOC and Cardi B both hail from the Bronx.
래퍼 카디비, 셧다운제를 두고 토미 라렌과 언쟁
[팩트인뉴스= 김동수 기자] TV 진행자인 토미 라렌과 래퍼 카디비 사이에서 트위터 논쟁이 가열되는 와중에 브롱크스 의원 알렉산드리아 오카시오 코르테즈가 끼어들어 카디비를 옹호하는 사태가 벌어졌다.
지난 몇 주 동안 많은 미국인이 청소년들의 심야 시간의 온라인 게임 이용을 제한하는 셧다운을 두려워해 왔으며, 예산 문제와 장벽에 대한 민주당과 공화당 사이의 긴장이 계속 고조되자, 카디비는 인스타그램에서 그에 관한 게시글을 올렸고, 폭스네이션의 토미 라렌의 관심을 끌었다.
ABC 뉴스에 따르면 토미 라렌은 트위터에서 본인과 이 그래미 수상 래퍼 사이의 관계로 모든 사람이 셧다운 한 결과가 어느 정도인지에 대해 이야기하고 있다.
과부하건 아니건 간에 카디비의 목소리는 대부분 해고된 80만 명의 직원들과 함께 울려 퍼졌다.
카디비는 라렌의 트윗을 보고 그녀의 팬들과 미국 팬들 모두가 진정으로 라렌의 셧다운 관련의 함축에 동의하는 것을 두려워하게 하는 박수를 보냈다.
그리고는 카디는 “나를 내버려 둬라”라고 말했다.
라렌은 “나는 확신한다. 여전히 당신의 정치적 소동은 덜 멍청하게 만들지는 않는다.”라고 답했다.
이때 카디비도 라렌의 리트윗을 통해 “당신은 그토록 사랑한다고 주장하는 나라를 파괴하고 있다”라고 웅변적으로 비난했다.
민주당 의원 알렉산드리아 오카시오 코르테즈는 결국 다음과 같은 말로 카디비를 옹호하며 끼어들었다. "사람들은 왜 볶지 않고 브롱크스 여자를 건드릴 수 있다고 생각하는가?" 그것은 본인과 카디비 둘 다 브롱크스 출신이라는 사실에 대한 명백한 언급이다.
